Let it be good now.
“We spend so much time preparing for life, we forget to live it.” -Brianna Wiest
Yoga offers us the chance to pause. To stop. To connect. To take in what’s happening now. In a world that often pushes us forward at a quickening pace, that is quite a feat. So often we might be stuck on ruminating about the past, turning events over and over in our minds. Or worrying about the future, what may or may not happen. Or quite possibly both.
When we live in the past or the future, it robs us of the present, the chance to experience life as it is happening now.
Sometimes we can be so focused on goals, achievements, milestones we even forget to stop and appreciate them once they arrive. We forget to appreciate ourselves for all the hard work and effort we put in. We rush past and are already onto the next. Instead of really taking the time to celebrate how far we have come. All the steps and little moments it took to get here.
